Pride of Kansas City Tip-Off
A CAPTIVATING NIGHT OF COUNTRY MUSIC!
A captivating night of country music; the Pride of Kansas City Tip-Off was a Great Success!
Thanks to the generosity of our
sponsors and guests, the second annual Pride of Kansas City
Tip-Off raised much needed funds for Kansas
City’s Medicine Cabinet.
The Baptist-Trinity Lutheran Legacy
Foundation event drew a crowd of more than 700 concertgoers. They
enjoyed an outstanding concert which opened with Sarah Buxton
followed by Justin Moore and Academy of Country
Music award winner Jake Owen.
Emcee DJs from 106.5 The Wolf: Blake Powers, Laurie Arbore,
Wes Poe and Shotgun Jaxon kept the crowd pumped up between sets.
Jake Owen summed up the event best when he said "Coming out for a
night of country music and helping your neighbors too? How cool is
that!”
Our sincere thanks go out to David and Linda Gentile,
honorary co-chairs, and our Slam Dunk Sponsors; BlueCross BlueShield
of Kansas City, Research Medical Center and HCA Midwest Health
Systems.
Price Chopper provided a wonderful catered buffet for the VIP
cocktail reception in the beautiful Chandelier Bar at the Midland
prior to the concert. On hand to do meet and greets with sponsors
and their guests were former KU great Wayne Simien, Sarah Buxton,
Justin Moore and Jake Owen. All of this combined for a fantastic
kick off to the Phillips 66 Big 12 Basketball Tournament.
