Funding Priorities

In 2005, the Board of Directors approved three areas of emphasis for the Foundation:

Emergency Medical Assistance

Health Education

Health Education Grants to Neighborhood Schools

EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Kansas City's Medicine Cabinet

Every day hundreds of Kansas City area families are forced to choose between buying groceries, paying for rent or taking care of their medical need.  Expensive prescriptions, rising insurance costs and changing government programs are driving more people to seek emergency medical assistance for the first time.

Now, families facing immediate, short-term crisis related medical needs can apply for help through           Kansas City's Medicine Cabinet, LLC.  For more information, click on the Medicine Cabinet icon.

The Foundation also provides support to the Emergency and Special Needs Clinic at the UMKC Dental
