The Foundation is helping to ensure quality healthcare in our community by funding educational opportunities for healthcare professionals and providing scholarships for those who wish to enter the medical field through ongoing programs such as the:
- L.A. Hollinger, M.D. Scholarship
- Trinity Lutheran School of Nursing Alumnae Scholarship
- Orear Institute for Post-Graduate Medical Studies
- Health Education Grants to Neighborhood Schools
In addition to supporting family practice residents, we’re also committed to promoting wellness and good health in area schools. Through Health Education Grants, the Foundation supports community schools with innovative programs that nurture the physical and mental health needs of Kansas City’s kids.

2012 Nursing and Respiratory Therapy Scholarships
The Trinity Lutheran School of Nursing Alumnae Scholarship committee has awarded $177,750 in scholarships to 62 nursing students. The L.A. Hollinger Scholarship committee has awarded $11,750 in scholarships to 10 nursing students and 3 respiratory students.
