About Us
Since our foundation reorganized in 2003, Baptist-Trinity Lutheran Legacy Foundation has strived to improve community health in the Kansas City area. Created from the sale of the Health Midwest system to HCA, the Legacy Foundation Board felt a strong need to carry on the traditions of both Baptist Medical Center Foundation and Trinity Lutheran Hospital Foundation:
To raise funds in support of the health care needs of our community.
Our support has three areas of emphasis:
- Emergency medical assistance
- Health education
- Health education for neighborhood schools
We appreciate the dedicated support of generous donors who share our belief in strengthening community healthcare and supporting those who choose healthcare as a career.
Today, we stand as a thriving, independent foundation. Our combined history of more than 100 years of support for healthcare needs in Kansas City is making a difference.
